About Galloways
Looking for a bakery in Platt Bridge, Hindley? Galloways is at Walthew Parade, Unit 1 Walthew Lane, WN2 5AT. Expect the traditional bakery line-up – savouries for lunch, bread for the week and cream cakes for a treat. It is one of 19 Galloways locations we list across the UK.
We do not hold confirmed hours for this particular branch – station and shopping-centre branches often open earlier and close later than high-street ones. Food hygiene officers from Wigan rated it 5 – Very good when they inspected on 28 January 2026.
The closest station, Ince station, is 1.5 mi away, so most visitors arrive by car, bus or bike. It is not the only option nearby: there are 2 more bakeries within a kilometre, so a bakery crawl is easily done. It is about 1.3 mi from the centre of Hindley.
